Strategic execution management follows a 3 Step Process:

  1. Clarifying the Vision – what does your world look like in 5 or 10 years?

    • What will be different about what your customers want?

    • What will new technology enable in your industry/specialty?

    • What will be the biggest threats to your organization?

  2. Mapping the Path – where should you be in 1, 3 and 5 years?

    • Map out a high-level 5-year plan

    • Map out the next 90 days in detail, aimed at the 1-year target

    • Identify critical metrics and an approach to pivoting

    • Create an idea testing and innovation plan

  3. Strategic Implementation – rules of the road

    • Separate short-term and long-term activities

    • Focus on achieving outcomes, not completing tasks

    • Know how and where each person and action impact the customer

Strategic execution is an iterative process that you should:

  • Go through deeply once a year or as sudden market changes occur, and

  • Review at least quarterly to verify you are on target and update the 1-year goals

Transferring Knowledge

To ensure you are always in control, our goal is to guide you through the first year by being a regular part of your strategic execution team. 

During that time, we will:
